ED India releases first product - ARDUINO board

ED India has released its first product ARDUINO board with Atmega 8 as the core unit on it today. The theme for the release is "I love open source electronics". The founders have announced that the price of the in-house manufactured ARDUINO board will be 1000 INR including shipping anywhere in India. ED India has also planned to release ATMEGA 328 version of Arduino by January 2012 the theme for which is announced to be "I do more with open source embedded".

Amateur researchers and hobbyists can have a great time with ED's Arduino board as ED provides full support in programming for all those who buy the Arduino board. The Arduino board comes with a USB programming cable.

ED India has announced full fledged modular Arduino training based on ED's Arduino kit. This training comprises of ED's Teach Yourself Arduino Kit along with 3 months online training in Arduino programming.

OPEN RESEARCH - MICRO CONTROLLER BASED SBC

Hi all..!

Embedded dronacharya team is warming its engine to plunge into a long term research for the production of micro controller based single board computer (uC SBC). Though this may seemingly be impossible against the very first valid point that MCUs cannot support multitasking, still let’s try out this research.
The main reason for Embedded Dronacharya to start such a peculiar research against the very first basic law of MCUs, is that by this research, the participants of the research will possibly learn to use the fullest potential of a micro controller.
This way, we may probably squeeze our minds to add complexity at the firmware level and if necessary at the hardware level and come out with a sort of computer like device (at least).
To tell about the research, it’s actually an OPEN RESEARCH, where the contributors will contribute to the firmware and hardware of a part of the uC SBC.

To start with, let us go ahead with PIC or AVR or Atmel ARM micro controllers. Please start mailing me your contribution to embedded.dronacharya@gmail.com .
Here are the parts that a basic computer should have. Please send me the hardware designs and firmware for these segments of our uC SBC.

·         Keypad
·         Touchpad
·         Graphic display
·         USB
·         SD card
·         Audio playback
·         Mic in
·         EEPROM
·         RTC
·         Power management
Communication devices (RF/IR/TCP)

Remember please do not visualize the end product of this open research as a fully fledged computer, as it involves a very very complex design. But let us have a vision of creating a device very close in performance to a computer.

Hi embedded geeks...!

Hope u are well set for a hobby or career in embedded. Well this blog is a sort of tutoring stuff on embedded systems. Mainly it beats around PIC, 8051, MSP and ATMEL ARM.

Glance through this blog and find...

  • Resources to get started a project
  • Info on embedded contests of leading industries
  • Project solutions
  • Programming support
  • E shop for embedded spare parts
  • PCB Layouts
  • Circuit schematics

We provide project solutions at lower prices. All u have to do is jotted down as 3 steps right below...

1) Mail us to get the REQUIREMENT SHEET for your project.
2) Fill it up and mail it back to us.
3) Pay us by NET TRANSFER or BANK DEPOSIT.
4) Get the C code and HEX file via e mail.
Well it does not end there.. We also give you the circuit for your idea..
Nowhere should you find an inexpensive project solution.. Knock @ our blog and get it right away.

Don’t find the tutorial or resource for the concept you are looking for…?
Just knock @ our mail door.
You will see the content on my blog in not later than four days.
And the good deed here is that not only you will get the stuff.. but many others too..
